Job Summary:

The Tracing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely follow-up on freight shipments throughout the day. This role involves monitoring emails, sending out tracing updates to carriers, and maintaining communication with dispatch teams to resolve issues and provide shipment status updates. A successful Tracing Specialist will be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in addressing tracing needs for truckloads and after-hours shipments.

• Initial Trace Actions & Contact Verification
• Ongoing Monitoring & Individual Follow-ups
• Midday Follow-up & Appointment Verification
• Mid-Day Tracing Blast
• Afternoon Follow-ups & Final Touches
• End of Day Wrap-up

Skills and Qualifications:

•  Strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple shipments simultaneously.
•  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or other office software tools.
•  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•  Prior experience in freight tracking or logistics is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

•  Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
•  Ability to make phone calls and communicate effectively with carriers and team members.

Work Environment:

• Office-based environment with occasional remote flexibility depending on company policies.
