Job description:

Junior in Audit:

• Confirming that the organization’s record of its cash balances agrees with the bank's record;
• Checking that the organization owns the fixed assets (such as buildings, machinery, computers and cars) that it includes in its accounts;
• Helping to ensure that the list of the organization’s suppliers is complete;
• Attending a stock-take to observe the organization’s methods of recording stock;
• Test-counting a sample of the company's stock items;
• Recording and testing the organization’s processes and controls;
• Helping in preparation of the final accounts, reports that summarizes the key issues that have come to light during the audit, and recommends potential improvements to the client's systems, business processes and controls.

Experienced Auditor:

• Participate in pre-audit planning for audit engagements;
• Design audit approaches;
• Review the company’s processes, transactions and internal controls;
• Assist Managers in supervision of less experienced team members on engagements – reviewing and providing guidance on deliverables;
• Manage small engagements depending on experience and business area;
• Perform reviews of audit documents;
• Interact with clients to discuss audit issues;
• Prepare draft audit reports;
• Develop working papers, assist in tracking of progress of audit engagements.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English; other languages would be an asset;
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills;
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an eye for detail;
• High level of financial, legal and IT awareness;
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking;
• The highest level of personal integrity.

Specific requirements:

• For Junior roles: University Degree, or the last year of studies in Economics, with focus on Audit / Accounting / Finance / Management / Business or similar related field.
• For Experienced hires:

• • University Degree in Economics with focus on Audit / Accounting / Finance / Management or similar;
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in Audit;
  • Initiated ACCA qualification program and/or enrolled in a local accounting qualification program is a plus;
